Learning the hard way

I am going to keep this post short and sweet;

I have had an AMAZING past two days here. Even though I have Spanish class every morning starting at 8am until 11am, I really enjoy it! Even from the first night on Friday to now I can feel my Spanish improving greatly. Everyone in the USAC program is GREAT and it definitely helps with the homesickness.

Yesterday, I purchsed my first legal drink, whoop whoop! Although, after watching the bartender make it, I knew it was going to be really strong. While it was very good, I only finished about third of it lol. I had a soccer game with and against all the USAC kids and it was super fun!! Ealier that day I had my first Latin American Dance class as well, which was WAY harder then I expected! I am still getting used to the amount of water I have to drink everyday, and I definitely didn't have enough yesterday. I paid for it once I got home, because my leg cramps were so bad I didn't fall asleep until 1:30am. You can bet your bottom dollar that I drank a ton of water today.

Lastly, today I went to the ocean to swim for a bit, then ended up at the pool. I was in the sun for about an hour in a half total, yet I got totally fried. It's pretty funny, but now I am even hotter then usual... guess I learned the hard way that I need to apply sunscreen all the time!

P.S. Here in costa rica they are more likely to say "Ciao" rather then "Adios" to say goodbye.
